Emotional aspects of human experience have become increasingly prominent in popular culture and public discourse, amid a global landscape marked by crises, unrest, and uncertainty. Through installations, sculpture, painting, and video by international contemporary artists, the group exhibition Maybe we could both belong explores the politics of emotion, grounded in lived experiences and embedded within social and political structures. The exhibition explores the significance and potential agency of emotions, challenging the notion that emotions are purely subjective or private experiences. Instead, it suggests that emotions are powerful collective forces that shape, unite, amplify, and disrupt the shared reality we inhabit.
