On Saturday, March 28, 2026, the exhibition “Outstanding Works of the Dia Art Foundation” will open, a historic presentation that brings together for the first time in Argentina fundamental artists of contemporary art—never before exhibited in the country—in an exceptional set of emblematic works.

Curated by Humberto Moro (Deputy Director of Programme) and Ella den Elzen (Curatorial Assistant), the exhibition offers a look at the unique identity of Dia Art Foundation, a decisive institution in the history of art since the second half of the 20th century, recognized for promoting projects that transformed the link between work, space and spectator.

The exhibition aims to present historical works and reflect on the construction of a collection based on site-specific projects and spaces specially conceived by the most influential artists of the contemporary American art scene , who led an aesthetic revolution in the last decades of the 20th century. This journey allows the public to experience practices that redefined art as an experience: matter, scale, perception, light, and time become essential elements of the artwork.

The exhibition brings together nine artists across a period spanning from 1962 to 2018: Richard Serra, Agnes Martin, James Turrell, John Chamberlain, Andy Warhol, Robert Irwin, Walter De Maria, Felix Gonzalez-Torres, and Tehching Hsieh . Dan Graham 's work, Whirligig , at the entrance of Proa, is also part of this collection.

Based on this selection, Proa develops a specially designed public program around the exhibition, with concerts, performances, video screenings, seminars and distance learning courses, expanding the scope and experience of the exhibition project.
