The Paula Cooper Gallery is pleased to announce a major group exhibition entitled Travel & Leisure.
The theme of the exhibition will focus on the travel narrative in contemporary art. Including painting, works on paper, sculpture and photography by approximately thirty artists, Travel & Leisure will explore the myriad ways in which artists communicate notions of transience and foreignness from the literal to the abstract. Among the artists whose work will be included are Robert Gober, Zoe Leonard, Carl Andre, John Baldessari, Michael Hurson, Roni Horn, Sherrie Levine, Ellsworth Kelly, Ken Lum, Rirkrit Tiravanija, Martin Kippenberger, On Kawara, David Hammons, Andrea Zittel, Adrian Piper and Claes Oldenburg.
