Bodies of Substance and Shadow presents the richness of gifts to the museum from Williams College alumni celebrating their reunions this year. In both context and content, the works depict human presence—or absence—through a strong contrast of light and dark. The exhibition calls attention to bodies ranging from the visible to the obscured and effaced.
