How long might it take to get over the chicken pox? How much time should you put into the creation of an artwork? What is the lifespan of an exhibition? How long could oral sex take? Most importantly, how can these frames of time be measured? The Belkin Satellite presents the exhibition HOW MUCH LONGER: Anxiety & Labour through Time in Contemporary Art which features a group of internationally-recognized artists. who have made artwork by considering such activities as timebased. HOW MUCH LONGER... is comprised of work by: Felix Gonzalez-Torres, Terence Koh, Micah Lexier, Kelly Mark, and Andy Warhol and is curated by J.J. Kegan McFadden.

These artists incorporate time as a factor in the creation of art. Whether through drawing, film, sculpture or installation work, the pieces in HOW MUCH LONGER... make reference to labour as well as a certain anxiety in society articulated by these artists. These five artists have taken ordinary experiences of passing the time, living life, and made them extraordinary. HOW MUCH LONGER... is not cold, detached conceptually art about universal time. Though produced with conceptually rigorous, minimalist strategies, these works were chosen because they represent intimate moments in these artists' lives.
